Targa Carolina 2019 - Classic Porsches in the Blue Ridge

Air Brigade visited Little Switzerand, NC on Friday, September 20, 2019 to view the start of Targa Carolina 2019. Targa Carolina is a private by-invitation Classic Porsche drive in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
All models of Classic Air-Cooled Porsches are participating including one lone Porsche 356, a Porsche Spyder, assorted Porsche 911's including early-911's, 911SC's, Carrera 3.2's, 964's, 912's and various air-cooled outlaws.
A total of 31 classic Porsches were present in the parking lot of the Switzerland Inn, a popular base for Porsche driving tours. The Porsches left in groups of 10 leaving via Chestnut Grove Road to Crab Creek Road and then using US-19 as a connector to pick up NC-80 up to Roan Mountain.

Air Brigade conducts a monthly driving tour in the Blue Ridge Mountains during driving season (March - November). Through registration on AirBrigade.com you will receive a monthly email notifying you of upcoming drives.
Tschüs Rallye - Say Farewell to the 2019 Driving Season
This is the last drive of the 2019 driving season. It is a one day drive exploring the Blue Ridge Mountains' Waterfalls.
There will be a 9:30 a.m. Cars & Coffee to start the Rallye on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Rabun Manor in Dillard, Georgia. Cars will then depart at 11:00 a.m. for the first segment of the drive to a lunch break. After lunch the drive continues as we pass four waterfalls with a planned stop at one for a walk behind the waterfalls. The day ends with an exciting Porsche driving road into Clayton, Georgia for a wrap-up refreshment session.
