Air-Cooled Porsches at PCA Porsche Parade 2021

The Porsche Club of America (PCA) just held their annual Porsche Parade in French Lick, Indiana. Over 2,000 Porsche enthusiasts attended the event consisting of a Concours, Driving Tours, Autocross, Rallies and Seminars.

Air-Cooled Porsches shined in the Concours with a wide assortment of Porsche 356’s, air-cooled Porsche 991’s from early models to 993’s and a smattering of Porsche 914’s. Not many air-cooled Porsches were seen in the Rally, Autocross or Driving tours.

Air Brigade was present at the event with a primary focus on the Concours where more than 50 Air-Cooled Porsches were being shown. On Sunday, the first day of the French Lick PCA Porsche Parade, the focus was on prepping the Porsches for the Monday Concours. The undercover parking garage provided the venue for the early look at the variety of air-cooled Porsches being shown.

The highlight during Sunday prep was viewing a barn find 1958 replete with the dust and grim as the 356 was found after being in storage for 43 years.

The intensity to prep and win the Concours is extremely intense so cars were being prepped late into the night such as this early 911. As a result some contestants missed the fun of the Zone Gatherings at the Welcome Reception.

The highlight of Day 2, Monday was to be the Concours originally scheduled for a green lawn Display of Porsches, but a light drizzle kept all the cars in the garage. This was a shame after everyone worked so hard to prep their cars as the display and lighting were terrible. It was tough on the spectators to enjoy the cars and for the judges to judge the cars.

After a long debate and several protests, the winners were finally announced. The Air-Cooled Porsches seen in this gallery were the winners lined up to receive their trophies.

Where else but at PCA Parade do you have a chance to view two real Porsche 550 Spyders. Both Porsches were spectacular as shown in these photos.
