Air-Cooled Porsche Luftgekühlt 7 Set for Indianapolis

The date and location for Luftgekühlt 2021 (#7) has been announced for September 10, 2021 in Indianapolis. This large Air-Cooled Porsche gathering will be the first Midwest Luftgekühlt event. The 2020 event was scheduled for Durham, North Carolina but it never occurred due to social gathering guidelines that were in place.

It is unknown why the shift to Indianapolis from Durham. Those of us in the Southeast are disappointed to lose the event in our own backyard, but will travel to Indianapolis for this not to miss event for Air-Cooled Porsches. The date also conflicts with the large Porsche three-day Appalachian Adventure scheduled for September 9-12, 2021 being held in Blowing Rock, North Carolina.

Air Brigade attended the last Luftgekühlt held in 2019 at the Universal Studios Backlot. It was a spectacular event featuring over 500 Air-Cooled Porsches in unique movie settings. The event featured every model of Air-Cooled Porsches including Porsche 356, 914, every model of 911, race cars and one of a kind Air-Cooled Porsches.

As is the tradition with Luftgekühlt any more specifics other than the date and city are not available. The organizers usually don’t start soliciting entries and selling tickets until 60 days before the event. Watch the Luftgekühlt web site for event specifics as the date comes closer.
