Drive Details

The tour will start in two locations. One drive group will come out of Hendersonville and the other drive group will start in Black Mountain. The two drive groups will meet up in Lake Lure for a break and a meet-up before heading south towards South Carolina.

The combined drive will go down NC-9 to Columbus before connecting with 176 to skit along the Greenville Watershed while we drive some beautiful sweeping curves.

TD is hosting us at the Hendersonville Country Club for a lavish lunch buffet. The cost is $15 per head.

The drive will continue after lunch exploring the back roads around Hendersonville and Brevard before the drive ends in Mills River for a refreshment at the Burning Blush Brewery.

This drive will take us down the Black Mountain Rag Scenic Byway and then along the Green River to lunch at the Hendersonville CC. After lunch we'll explore the back roads around Brevard before a tour ending refreshment at the Burning Blush Brewery in Mills River

Air Brigade will join the PCA-APR Luft Wasser Porsche Celebration with a drive from Hendersonville to Brevard. The includes a meet-up, parade and display with 170 Porsches in Brevard, NC. A new Supercar After Party adds to the fun of the day.

Roan Mtn

A drive to Roan Mountain to view the Rhododendron Blooms on top of the mountain while we enjoy a picnic lunch from Well Bred Bakery in Weaverville. We'll travel along the Flat Creek before connecting with the scenic Toe River Road to Roan Mountain.

Back of Dragon

The Air Brigade is going overnight with a drive on June 16 to Marion, Virginia. On June 17 we'll wake to attack the Back of the Dragon before heading home. A hotel is being arranged in Marion for a block of rooms the night of June 16.

StraightAway

An Air Brigade favorite lunch destination of the Straightaway Cafe on NC-9 in Black Mountain. A driving loop will be used taking us from Fairview to Old Fort and back to Black Mountain, NC. After lunch there will be a drive down NC-9.

Hot Springs

We'll drive the scenic route along the French Broad River with a break in the quaint river town of Marshall. After the break there will be a challenging drive up NC-63 before connecting with The Rattler in Trust for a drive into Hot Springs for lunch.

Appalachian Adventure

Thursday, September 10-13, 2020

This will be a multi-day combo event with the Appalachian Region of the PCA. The base of fun will be Blowing Rock, NC. The event consists of drives, a People's Choice Concours and multiple social events.

Options include drives to Grandfather Mountain, Little Switzerland, Boone or driving the famous Linn Cove.

This drive will be a short drive from Hendersonville to Fairview where we'll picnic to celebrate Ferry Porsche's birthday in the Picnic Pavilion of Southcliff Estates.

David and Suzi Linton will host this drive and birthday picnic lunch.

Blue Ridge Parkway

We'll enjoy a tour along the Blue Ridge Parkway during color season. A midweek will hope to avoid the tourist traffic so we enjoy the drive, views and color.

Stops along the way will be at the Pisgah Inn, Graveyard Fields and the highest point on the Parkway.
