The car was imported by Hoffman in New York and became a race car in Argentina before being brought back to the US and raced in SCCA. When I purchased the car, it had been refurbished for street use and still had the roll bar, carrera brakes and other scars from it race history such as the rain shield on the trunk deck that was crudely hacked for lines from the external oil cooler mounted atop the air intake grill. The car still has it lowered and widened stance with wider wheels and wheel spacers on the rear.

The engine has been replaced, however, I did put out a search for the engine listed on the kardex and had someone contact me that he could get it for me for a rather large sum of money, but strangely enough, it could not be photographed as it was buried in an old building with several old old engines.  A close up of the serial number was all that he had.  I chose not to bite on that one.

We enjoy the car now for nice weather drives and a few car shows and parades. It had its first bath in many years at EURO this year with the rain.
